DTI TO REVIEW STATUTORY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEDURES |
Secretary of State for the DTI, Alistair Darling, has announced a review of workplace dispute resolution procedures. Concerns have been expressed since the introduction of the statutory dismissal and particularly the statutory grievance procedures in October 2004 that the procedures have not had the desired effect of reducing the number of claims to tribunals. The independent review will take submissions from business and unions as well as other interested parties. Michael Gibbons, a member of the Better Regulation Commission, will present his recommendations to the DTI in Spring 2007. |
