case study 1

klc employment law consultants currently provide the ‘Managing Performance’ module to a training client’s ongoing management training programme.

We were asked to provide this workshop after a highly successful roll-out of discipline, absence and performance management training.

In terms of style and content this course begins with a morning of learning through ‘snappy’ sections on the principles of the legal musts, interspersed with case studies and is followed by an afternoon comprising skills practise, dealing with the Company’s policies and procedures, and conducting disciplinary, poor performance and poor attendance hearings.

klc employment law consultants worked closely with the HR departments of a national entertainment organisation to develop and roll-out a large scale training programme on performance management.  The initial brief was for a performance management programme for one of the Company’s in the group. 

After acceptance of our proposal, klc employment law consultants worked with the HR team to develop a one and a half day course for approximately 120 line managers. 

Due to the subsequent success of the training programme, the course was rolled-out to the managers in a sister company – approximately 130 additional managers.

klc employment law consultants accepted a brief from one of its premier clients to improve the general employment law knowledge,  and practical skills in managing performance of all its management team from supervisors  to directors. 

We developed a two-day training course that met the training need and rolled out the training over a period of 3 months. 

Approximately 80 managers were trained.  The client is delighted with the measurable improvements and we continue to provide appropriate employment law update training sessions on a regular basis.
